The purpose of this study is to identify factors affecting unmet health care needs of industrial accident workers in Korea by utilizing the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service's industrial accident insurance panel. For this purpose, the Andersen medical service behavioral model was applied to analyze the predisposing factors, enabling factors, and needs factors of unmet health care needs. As a result, unmet health care needs increased for people with poor health, limited physical activity, and those who used industrial accident rehabilitation services. Conversely, unmet health care needs decreased for those with high incomes and regular workers. Accordingly, the government have to provide additional medical support for industrial accident workers through regular health screening. Depending on the conditions of industrial workers, the approach can be divided into providing medical expenses such as reducing self-burden and easing the qualification conditions for medical rehabilitation services, or ensuring the hours of medical service use, such as strengthening the use of flexible working hours and sick leave systems.
